Rebirths and Skip Rebirth
The simulator classic: a player trades all their cash for a permanent earnings multiplier, then climbs again, faster. The Rebirth panel shows the cost, the progress and what they get. Its id in GameData is rebirths.
Turn it on#
- On the website, switch on Rebirths in your design's Extras panel (Data Saving comes on too), then export and install.
- Open ServerScriptService > BloxGame > GameData and find
GameData.Features.rebirths. Set the cost and the multiplier (below). - Optional: sell Skip Rebirth for Robux.
- Press Play, earn the cost and press Rebirth on the Rebirth panel.
What a rebirth does#
- It needs the cost in the rebirth
currency. Then all of that currency goes back to 0, and the rebirth count goes up by 1. - The multiplier is
1 + multiplierPerRebirth × rebirths. With 0.5: x1.5 after one rebirth, x2 after two, x3 after four. - It boosts what players earn in the game: clicking, tycoon machines, offline earnings and other Extras. Shop refunds and rewards aren't multiplied.
- The count shows on the player list (
leaderstat). The count is saved before the reset, so a double click can't rebirth twice.
The settings#
| Setting | What it means | Starts as |
|---|---|---|
currency | The currency that resets, and pays for the rebirth. | your first currency |
baseCost | The cost of the first rebirth. | 10000 |
costCurve | "linear": the first cost × (rebirths + 1), so 10K, 20K, 30K. "exponential": × costGrowth every time. | "linear" |
costGrowth | For the steep curve: 1.5 = each rebirth costs 50% more. | 1.5 |
multiplierPerRebirth | What each rebirth adds to the multiplier. | 0.5 |
boostCurrency, boostAll | The currency the multiplier boosts, or boostAll = true for every currency. | your first currency |
giveTokens, tokenCurrency, tokensPerRebirth | Also pay a second currency (rebirth tokens) on every rebirth. | off |
maxRebirths | The most rebirths a player can do. 0 = no limit. | 0 |
leaderstat | Show Rebirths on the player list. | true |
confirm | Ask "are you sure?" when a rebirth button outside the Rebirth panel is pressed. | true |
rebirthElement, skipElement | The ids of the Rebirth and Skip Rebirth buttons in your design. | "RebirthButton", "SkipRebirth" |
Rewards (the reward tiles)#
On top of the multiplier, each rebirth can pay rewards. The Rebirth panel's What you get tiles show exactly the next rebirth's rewards, so a tile never promises something that isn't paid. When you export, the rows start from your design's tiles.
rewards = {
{ at = 0, title = "Gems", currency = "gems", amount = 50,
item = "", itemCount = 1, boost = 0 },
{ at = 5, title = "Golden Pet", currency = "coins", amount = 0,
item = "Golden Dog", itemCount = 1, boost = 0.1 },
},| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
at | Which rebirth pays it: 0 = every rebirth, 5 = only the 5th. |
title | The name on the reward tile. |
currency, amount | Currency to give. 0 = none. |
item, itemCount | An item to give: its name in GameData.Items. Empty = none. |
boost | A permanent extra boost, added to the multiplier: 0.1 = +10%. 0 = none. |
A row that gives nothing (amount 0, no item, boost 0) is only an example and pays nothing.
Skip Rebirth (Robux)#
The Skip Rebirth button gives a rebirth without the reset: the player keeps their cash, and still gets the new count, the bigger multiplier and every reward. No cost needed. Tycoon plots are kept too.
- In the Creator Hub, create a developer product called "Skip Rebirth" (how). Give it the price your button shows.
- Paste its id into
GameData.Products.SkipRebirth:The settingGameData.ProductsSkipRebirth = { id = 1234567890, price = 99, builtIn = "skipRebirth", owner = "rebirths" },skipProductIdinGameData.Features.rebirthsworks too. One of the two is enough. - Press Play and press Skip Rebirth. In Studio it's a free test purchase.
Each purchase is given exactly once, even if Roblox sends it again. At maxRebirths, Skip Rebirth pays the rewards again without adding a rebirth. It can't be gifted.
For your own scripts: the player attributes BloxGame_Rebirths (the count) and BloxGame_RebirthMultiplier. Coins your own scripts give aren't multiplied unless you multiply them by it.
Troubleshooting#
- "Skip Rebirth isn't for sale yet."
GameData.Products.SkipRebirthstill hasid = 0. - The Skip Rebirth prompt appears but nothing happens: the product id doesn't match what Rebirths sells. Output says
no blueprint product with productId .... The id must be inProducts.SkipRebirth, and Rebirths must haveEnabled = true. - "You need 10K Coins to rebirth!" The player hasn't reached the cost yet. Lower
baseCostto test. - The multiplier does nothing: it boosts what Extras pay (clicking, tycoons, offline earnings). Coins from your own scripts need the multiplier applied by you (see above). Check
boostCurrencytoo. - A reward tile shows something odd: the tiles follow
rewards. Change the rows, not the design.
